19TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARRY TIME- YEAR C (07TH AUGUST 2022)

General Annoucements

  1. There shall be a Marian Congress tomorrow Monday 08/08/2022 in the Parish centre beginning at 8am under the theme “ A pilgrimage of hope with the Blessed virgin Mary: Mother and intercessor’’ . The congress will end with Holy Mass . In this light, there will be no meeting in the whole parish in the morning. All prayer and action groups are called upon to wear their uniforms on this day.
  2. Following the spirit and teachings of the church concerning the month of August which is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Parish Priest informs all the Christians that there shall be Rosary prayers everyday before mass beginning at 5:40am in the Parish Centre, St. Benedict mission and St. Bernard missions at 5:45am.
  3. The Parish Priest and the FINCOM immensely thank Mr. Foleng Gabriel, St Nicolas SCC, Madam Lenada, Mrs. Song Helen, Mr/Mrs Ngwa, St Mark SCC, Tanui Louis, Joseph Awounti and Atohnibie Quarter Bambili Village  for supporting St. Bernard Church project with the sums of 28.000, 25.000, 19.375, 20.000, 104.625, 11.500, 10.000, 25.000 and 50.000frs respectively. May the good Lord abundantly bless them.
  4.  Parish Joint Choir Practice continues on Wednesday 10/08/2022 in Momnibie mission at 3pm prompt in preparation for the Final Profession of Sister Elizabeth. Please the Capuchin sisters should take special note.
  5. The youths of the parish are informed of the 2022 diocesan youth camp which shall run from Tuesday 16th to Sunday 22nd August at ST. Pauls Comprehensive College Nkwen. All youths are expected to register with the sum of 5000frs portion as follows: logistics 3000frs, 300frs for booklet; 1700frs as transportation and pilgrimage to Abangoh. All youths are encouraged to register well ahead of time to facilitate preparations.
  6. Mother Francesca Rubatto School announces that admission into the school for 2022/2023 Academic year for Pre– Nursery, Nursery and Primary sections begins on the 8th August 2022   from 9am-12noon daily . School fees remains the same , 65.000frs for Nursery and 51.500frs for Primary with the payment done in two instalments. Come along with the child’s/children’s birth certificate.
  7. Christians are informed that poultry birds i.e. Fowls are ready for sale here at the mission at very affordable prices.
  8. There shall be a meeting with the Parents and God– Parents of the candidates for First Holy Communion and Catechumens for Baptism on Friday 12/08/2022 immediately after the 6am mass in the main mission.
  9. The Holy Family of Nazareth meeting will hold on Tuesday 9th August 2022 at St Francis Parish at 3pm so all members are encourage to be there and on time.
  10. There shall be Penitential Service in Preparation for the celebration of the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Saturday the 13th August 2022 in the Parish Centre at 3:30pm so all Christians are encourage to attend.
  11. In thanksgiving to God for the erection of the Grotto of Our Lady of Fatima on the Silver Jubilee of Our Parish, the Parish Priest informs all the Christians that Masses shall be Organized on Mondays according to SCCs in the Grotto

 

MOMNIBIE  MISSION   

  1. There shall be general Church cleaning and the surroundings on Saturday 13th August 2022 immediately after the 6:00am mass and we are all encourage to come with hoes and cutlasses while CWA Zone will clean on Sunday 14th August 2022.
  2. Seminary collection levies according to SCCs. St. Paul 80.000frs, St. Dominic 80.000frs, St. Joseph SCC 70.000frs, St. Mark 70.000frs, St. Ignatius 65.000frs, St. Andrew 65.000frs, St. Peter 60.000frs, St. Michael 60.000frs, St. Nicholas 60.000frs, St. Monica 60.000frs, St. Jude 60.000frs, St. Rita 55.000frs, St. John Paul II 50.000frs, St. Elizabeth 45.000frs, Emmanuel SCC 45.000frs, St. Thomas 40.000frs and St. Anthony 35.000frs. The latest day for all the collections to reach the Parish Secretariat is Sunday 14/08/2022.
  3. Singing within the week: CWA Zone while St Michael SCC  will sing next week.
  4. The MPC general meeting officially schedule for today has been postpone to next Sunday 14th August 2022. All SCC leaders and secretaries, commission chairs and secretaries, MPFT should take note as they shall be formation on that day.

ST. BENEDICT MISSION  

  1. Our mission has been levied 300.000frs for the 2022 seminary collection. These levies has been shared according to SCCs as follows; St. Michael 45,000frs, St. Martin 48,000frs, St. Christopher 78,000frs, St. Thomas 81,000frs and St. Therese SCC 48,000frs. SCC leaders should start sensitization and collection immediately.
  2. Seminary collection shall be done in our mission SCC by SCC on the 15th August (big day Maria) so we are all encourage to prepare well so as to meet our target.
  3. Considering the fact that August is a month we celebrate the Solemnity of  Assumption, we are all encourage to come to church every morning at 6:00am to pray the rosary
  4. They shall be doctrine for Parents and God– parents for infant Baptism on Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 August 2022 in church immediately after the 6:15am mass so all concern should endeavour to be present.
  5. There shall be MPC meeting next Sunday 14/08/2022 immediately  after mass. Commission leaders, SCC leaders and their secretaries should take special note. St. Therese SCC shall host.
  6. Church cleaning in the month of August shall be done by St.Therese SCC.

 

 

  ST. BERNARD MISSION
