18TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARRY TIME- YEAR C (31/ 07/2022)

General Annoucement

  1. There shall be a Marian Congress on Monday 08/08/2022 in the Parish centre beginning at 8am under the theme “ A pilgrimage of hope with the Blessed virgin Mary: Mother and intercessor.’’ In this light, there will be no meeting in the whole parish in the morning. All prayer and action groups are called upon to wear their uniforms on this day.
  2. Following the spirit and teachings of the church concerning the month of August which is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Parish Priest informs all the Christians that there shall be Rosary prayers everyday before mass beginning at 5:40am in the Parish Centre and St. Benedict mission, 5:45am in St. Bernard mission.
  3. The Parish Priest wishes to thank the superior of the Marist Fathers in Africa for donating a car for the Marist Community in Bambili. He wishes him God’s abundant blessings in his ministry.
  4. The Parish Priest reminds all the members of the PPC exco that there shall have their monthly statutory meeting on Saturday 06/08/2022 immediately after the 6am mass in Momnibie mission. To attend are; all mission chair persons and secretaries, PPFT, all mission catechists, Priests, Rev. Sisters.
  5. The Parish Priest announces to the Christian Community that Fr. Didier Hadonou has been transferred to the Marists Fathers mission in Canada. He will be leaving Bambili definitely on Tuesday 09/08/2022. To this light, there shall be a special collection next Sunday 07/08/2022 on his send off mass to support the servant of God as he prepares to undertake his new assignment. Further more, there shall be only one mass next Sunday 07/08/2022 in the parish centre at 7am prompt.  
  6. The Parish Priest and the FINCOM immensely thank Mr. Chekom Justus for supporting St. Bernard Church project with the sum of 29.625frs. May the good Lord abundantly bless them.
  7. There shall be a meeting with the parents and God Parents of the Candidates for First holy Communion and Catechumens for Baptism on Monday 08/08/2022 immediately after the 6am  in the main mission. They should endeavour to attend for there are pertinent issues to be discussed. 
  8. Novena to St. Philomena starts on the 02nd of August 2022 everyday immediately after morning mass in the Parish centre. Christians are encouraged to participate in this Novena. 
  9. There shall be Parish Joint Choir Practice on Wednesday 03/08/2022 in Momnibie mission at 3pm prompt in preparation for the Final Profession of Sister Elizabeth. Please the Capuchin sisters should take special note.
  10. CMA Bambui deanery meeting holds on Sunday 31/07/2022 in Our Lady of Fatima Parish immediately after the 6:30am mass. All the members should take special note and attend.
  11. Christians are informed that poultry birds i.e. fowls are ready for sale here at the mission at very affordable price.
  12. The youths of the parish are informed of the 2022 diocesan youth camp which shall run from Tuesday 16th to Sunday 22nd August at ST. Pauls Comprehensive College Nkwen. All youths are expected to register with the sum of 5000frs portion as follows: logistics 3000frs, 300frs for booklet; 1700frs as transportation and pilgrimage to Abangoh. All youths are encouraged to register well ahead of time to facilitate preparations.

MOMNIBIE  MISSION 

  1. Church cleaning today evening, St. Ignatius Choir and St. Ignatius SCC . Next Sunday evening; St. Anuarita choir. Saturday St. Dominic SCC.
  2. Seminary collection levies according to SCCs. St. Paul 80.000frs, St. Dominic 80.000frs, St. Joseph SCC 70.000frs, St. Mark 70.000frs, St. Ignatius 65.000frs, St. Andrew 65.000frs, St. Peter 60.000frs, St. Michael 60.000frs, St. Nicholas 60.000frs, St. Monica 60.000frs, St. Jude 60.000frs, St. Rita 55.000frs, St. John Paul II 50.000frs, St. Elizabeth 45.000frs, Emmanuel SCC 45.000frs, St. Thomas 40.000frs and St. Anthony 35.000frs. The latest day for all the collections to reach the Parish Secretariat is Sunday 14/08/2022.
  3. Next Sunday is project Sunday, Christians should come prepared to support our mission projects.
  4. The PPFT shall have a formation meeting with the MPC of Momnibie tomorrow  Monday 01/08/2022. those to attend are; all MPC exco, SCC leaders and Secretaries, MPFT, Commission  leaders and secretaries in the mission.
  5. MPC general meeting holds next Sunday 07/08/2022. To attend are; all SCC leaders and Secretaries, all commission chairs and secretaries, MPFT, Parish advisers and mission exco. To host are St. Ignatius and St. Dominic SCCs.
  6. Registration for infant baptism is ongoing, pass through your SCC leaders and register.
  7. Singing within the week: St. Dominic SCC while St. Michael should prepare to sing from next week.

ST. BENEDICT MISSION

  1. Our mission has been levied 300.000frs for the 2022 seminary collection. These levies has been shared according to SCCs as follows; St. Michael 45,000frs, St. Martin 48,000frs, St. Christopher 78,000frs, St. Thomas 81,000frs and St. Therese SCC 48,000frs. SCC leaders should start sensitization and collection immediately.
  2. Registration for infant Baptism is ongoing, Christians are encourage to pass through their SCC leaders and register.
  3. There shall be MPC meeting next Sunday 07/08/2022 immediately  after mass. Commission leaders, SCC leaders and their secretaries should take special note. St. Therese SCC shall host.
  4. Church cleaning in the month of August shall be done by St. Therese SCC.

ST. BERNARD MISSION

  1.   Seminary Collection levies, St. Stephen 100.000frs, St. Augustine 50.000frs and St. Kizito 50.000frs.
